Scene Hairstyles and Haircuts

Scene Hairstyles and Haircuts - For Scene Girls

The latest look of today is the scene look, where eccentric and colorful clothes are joined with make up of the same qualities, and hair that almost can be called “punk”
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

With scene haircuts, there are so many to choose from, that there is bound to be a scene haricut out there for you. There are no real set guidelines, only unwritten rules, set by the scene queens themselves, which other scene girls choose to follow.
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Scene hair is normally very choppy, with choppy and blunt layers that can be worn piled high on the head and backcombed. It is not unusual to have very random layers in the hair, and with scene haircuts, the more random and eccentric you have your hair, the higher up in the scene ranks you will become.
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Many scene girls tend to go for a shorter length of hair with this choppy scene look, although there are some that wear hair extensions, and some that keep their hair long, but with shorted layers cut into it. The key is, to have hair that you can manage without too many styling products, and this is why many choose shorter lengths.
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Colorful hair is very “in” with scene girls and boys, and many chose to wear neon colored hair extensions to add that little bit more. Generally, bleached blonde and black colors are the choice for hair among scene chicks, with these colorful extensions added later.

How To Be Scene

Scene Styles presents: How To Be Scene

Scene, the latest trend among kids, is a look to be seen in! However, there are definite rules for being scene, and the first of these important rules is to be different! Very different! The ultimate scene kid will have accessories coming out of every orifice, and the bigger the sunglasses, the better! Graphic T-shirts should be worn with these accessories, with skinny jeans and cute ballet pumps. Everything should be printed, skulls, spiders and owls being the latest fashion trend.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Along with your eccentric style of clothes, you need to have an eccentric style of hair! The brighter and more colorful the better, but if you are not brave enough to dye your hair a crazy color, add some colorful hair extensions, again, the brighter the better!
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

This crazy hair and clothes wouldn’t be complete without make up, and the rule in how to be scene, is the more the better. No neutral look for these scene babes! Eyeliner is a good place to start, with bright and colorful eye shadow and lipsticks. Eyeliner can be a problem for new scene kids, so start off with the pencil variety and work your way up to liquid after a bit of practice. The eyeliner has to be neat and precise, and the bigger the flicks at the end of your eye, the better!
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

A scene kid lives for his or her social networking sites, and they must be seen to be using it! Socializing is important with this trend, so the more parties you attend, the better! Photos of proof are great too, but you need to be looking your best, not with make up smudged down your face!

Scene Coontails

Scene Coontails

Conntails, or strips of bande color which are popular with the scene look, is very easy to do, and here is a step by step guide to get the perfect scene coontails.
First of all, section the hair, with the strips that you want to dye out and the rest of the hair pinned back. It is easier to dye one section at a time, but if you have help from someone else, they can all be done at the same time. If your hair is curly and you want the perfect scene coontails, straighten the hair first. Use scotch tape or another similar item to section the strips of hair in to bands, the parts that you are dying left without the tape, and the bits that you don’t want, taped off. Make sure they are even and wrapped properly to ensure no leakage of the dye on to the banded sections. Prepare the dye as per the instructions on the packet, some hair dyes will require you to place it on wet hair, while others will need dry hair, so you need to make sure of this before you start. Put Vaseline or another similar substance around the hairline and ears etc. to make sure you do not get dye on your face. Apply the dye to the sections that require it and then leave it for the designated amount of time, before you wash it off, again, following the instructions on the packet.
Scene Coontails Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Dry your hair and style it as normal and you will find that you have the perfect scene coontails that you desire. This look will have to be maintained to stop it looking shabby, and if you have someone else on hand to help you, that would be better!

Scene Girls Hairstyles and Haircuts

Scene Girls Hairstyles and Haircuts - Fall Winter 2008-2009

Regardless of gender, the scene haircut is choppy, funky and uneven. When you use this as the basis of your haircut, you must sack your hairdresser! If you were to walk into your hairdressers and ask for the latest scene trend, the hairdresser will probably look at you quizzically or run away screaming!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

The trick to perfecting your scene hairstyle is to be carefree with your scissors. Don’t have a cut to base it on, don’t have a pattern to copy and do not try to get it even, and you will be on to a winner! As long as your scissors are sharp and your imagination runs free, the perfect scene haircut will come to you!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

The scene hairstyle, and especially for girls, goes on the basis of, the more extreme the better. Hair should not be even, the fringe should not be straight, and in actual fact, the best idea for a fringe, if you have one, is to make it uneven and swooping across one eye. The good news is, this works for both boys and girls!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

As long as you don’t plan your haircut, the scene look will come pretty easily, but remember,
your Mum probably will have a heart attack! The look is funky and fresh, and sometimes a little extreme, but as long as you go with what you like, you could have the latest scene hair!

Scene Tattoos and Scene Piercings

Scene Tattoos and Scene Piercings

With the scene look, the hair, make up and clothes are important, but if you want to go all out scene, you must think about tattoos and piercing in order to complete your look and put you way ahead in the scene rankings.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

First of all, remember that the legal age limit for tattoos in the UK is 18, so no getting tattoos if you are younger than this! You should also remember that a tattoo is for life, so therefore get something that you will always like and that will mean something to you in later life! Thirdly, they are painful, take a while to heal and need protecting properly after you have first had them done, so remember that getting a tattoo is a long commitment!
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

A lot of scene kids will have many tattoos and piercing, and if this is the look you are going for, get the tattoos in appropriate places. Tattoos on arms or your face may hinder your process when you are trying to get a job, and the same applies to piercing as well, so bear this in mind when you are getting them.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

You shouldn’t feel pressured into getting a tattoo and only get one if it is what you really want, and when you are really ready for it, otherwise you may regret it in later years and have to resort to drastic laser surgery in order to have it removed.

Scene Hairstyles - How to Become a Scene Girl

Scene Hairstyles - How to Become a Scene Girl

To be a scene chick, you need the scene hair and the best way to describe this is, the more eccentric, the better! Also, the bigger the better also applies!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
Bleached blonde or black hair is normally the colors of choice for scene girls, but it is not unusual to have blue, pink and even purple hair. However, the hair should be layered and the hair should be worn bigger at the top, and the height will very much reflect on the layers. If you wanted to be really scene, you should add some extensions to your hair, preferably of a colorful nature, and greens and pinks, in neon shades, are particularly good for the scene look.
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
In scene kids, hair is everything, and although you may want to experiment with different colors and looks, be aware that you shouldn’t go too far, as this will prove not scene, but making a statement and setting a new trend is a definite must!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
The scene look, and particularly the clothes and make up is reflective of their eccentric personalities, and without the hair, this look just would not be complete. The bigger and more colorful, the better, and the more accessories you can fit around your hair, preferably in skull or spider varieties, the better as well! Whatever style you choose to have your scene hair, you should wear it with pride, and make sure that iti is reflective of you and your personality.

Scene Boys Hairstyles and Haircuts

Scene Boys Hairstyles and Haircuts

The good thing about scene hairstyles is that it works for both a boy and a girl, and if you can tell that your haircut is “boy” or “girl” then you are probably not scene enough!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Forget everything you ever read about how a haircut should be and go back to basics. This scene trend will save on hairdressers, as you can do it all yourself at home, and should it go wrong, it’ll be ok, you can say it’s the latest scene trend!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
The basics of scene hair is long or short length for boys and choppy layers. It doesn’t matter what the length of your hair is, there is a scene cut for those with long hair, short hair or medium length hair. And, regardless of whether you are male or female, the scene look requires scissors!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
Your scissors are not your friend with this scene look, the perfect scene hair does not require a long amount of time spent cutting your hair. Cut random bits off your hair and you will end up having the perfect scene boys hairstyle. Fringes, or bangs, should be uneven, preferably going across one eye, and never straight across!
Scene Hairstyles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
The good thing about scene boys hairstyles is that you can use girls pictures of scene hair as your basis. From there, the world is your oyster and only your imagination will restrict you! Be care free with your scissors and the perfect scene hair cut will come to you.

How to Dress Scene - Tips 2008 - 2009

How to Dress Scene - Tips 2008 - 2009

The scene look is very much a reflection of a bright and colorful, and also slightly eccentric personality, and the clothes that scene chicks should match this. Accessories are important, but without the right clothes, the scene look just would not be complete!
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
Skinny and straight leg jeans tend to be the biggest trend within the scene crowd, and these jeans must be of the right fit, with the motto being, the tighter the better. However, you do still want to be able to walk and sit down, so bear this in mind. You could wear them ripped with colorful tights or stockings poking through the rips, and mini skirts, also in denim, can also be worn with these tights.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
Classic scene shoes tend to be either Converse or Vans, but girls seem to be in to the ballet pump trend at the moment, but other low heels are acceptable.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition

Clips and bows worn in the hair are great accessories to complete this scene look, and scarves, jewelry and other items such as these with skulls, spiders, owls and other Halloween type patterns are also a particularly good look.
Scene Styles Spring Summer 2009 Edition
Dressing scene is all about creating new scene trends, so do not be afraid to break away from the norm, but remember, stick with some of the traits of the scene look, otherwise you will lose it in your new style of fashion.
